Today marks Mario's 20th birthday and anniversary from his first hit appearance on the Nintendo Entertainment System in Super Mario Bros. It's been a wild ride these 20 years, from jumping, hammering, fire-balling, squirting and even sporting. This game and mascot has alone made a great influence on Nintendo's growing success in the video game industry.
This game is a classic in itself and is quite fun to play. More importantly, however, it defined a large variety of different games throughout the years that all gamers can enjoy now, thanks to one hefty plumber. This game, although it wasn't Mario's debut, made Mario famous; a video game legend to fans like ourselves and, as much as they won't like it, gamers who dislike the character. After all, without Mario, games may be different today and perhaps not as much of a fun and enjoyable experience.
Thanks for these fantastic 20 years, Mario! May you live on forever, bringing gamers new experiences and memorable moments as you have before. Here's to the future!

On a side note, tomorrow is our own webmaster, Jordan's birthday! I guess it's no coincidence his internet alias is "Luigi", eh?
