It has been officially announced today, by Ubisoft, that the next title in the Prince of Persia series will be named, Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones. This title most likely reflects the new alter-ego of the Prince.
"Prince of Persia The Two Thrones will allow players to explore the two different sides of the Prince's divided soul," said Yannis Mallat, executive producer for the game. "The Prince will battle with his inner demons and explore his alter ego. He'll struggle with the boundaries between good and evil in his quest to regain his rightful place as ruler of Babylon."
Beginning the game, Prince makes way for his home at Babylon, accompanied by Kaileena, the Empress of Time. Upon reaching his destination, the Prince finds his home in the ruins of war, ravaged by fighting along with Kaileena being the target of a deadly plot. The Prince discovers that he's been holding within him a Dark Prince, slowly taking over the hero.
The third game in the PoP series, set to be released in December 2005, will feature most of our favorite aspects of previous games. Along with these familiarities, there'll be a wide array of new elements, including an outdoor environment of Babylon, Chariot battles and racing, a new Speed Kill system, and a second playable character.
There's been a new logo with this new information and 2 pieces of wonderful artwork. Sadly, Ninformer.com hasn't been able to get its hands on these 3 new images as of yet, but we should get them shortly.
