Its odd how most many games these days are being based off anime shows. Purest who have been importing their fix of the hit Naruto (the Japanese versions are so much better), will tell you quickly how the show's deep storyline, and huge assortment of ninjas would make the perfect game.

Enter Naruto Clash of Ninja 2. The game picks up right where the first did as far as storyline. No spoilers here as the stories themselves are a bit toned down for US audiences. Not that is a bad thing, as you still get the full roster of characters from the first such as Naruto, Sasuke, Kabuto, Rock Lee, and even more than the first. Unlike its Japanese counterpart, all the voices for the US version have been replaced with their American voice actors.

Those unfamiliar with this sleeper hit should really give this one a try. The Multiplayer action is just as frantic (may not have the strategic depth, but that's ok) and as fun as a good Smash Bros game. Each character does come with a simple array of moves, and very unique specials which do derive from the character's abilities on the show. Add a 4 player free for all, and you got a nice addition to the few GameCube titles we have left this year till the Wii comes out. Look for this one this fall.
