Music has always been one of our favorite passtimes. Just look at all the things you can do with it! You can sing to it, listen, dance and save the Mushroom Kingdom from evil, work with it or even sleep with it...wait, what's that you say? No, I am not crazy, you really can save the Mushroom Kingdom from the clutches of evil by dancing. Welcome to the world of Dance Dance Revolution: Mario Mix.

When Konami took its fabulous dancing series to the Nintendo GameCube, we could all guess Nintendo would have this game their way. And that's exactly what's happening; you will experience yet another Mushroom Kingdom adventure with Mario and his gang.

Like in all, if not most, adventure games we know, you control the hero who goes on a quest to defeat evil and restore peace in the world or other area. This game is no exception; someone has stolen the Music Keys and released their music within. These Music Keys had the job to cntrol the power of the music, and without them, it has become very unstable and is now creating chaos across the land. Mushroom Kingdom's very own Mario must now recover them before the Kingdom becomes history.

To recover the lost Music Keys, you must go through a series of worlds and beat all the levels in these by dancing and defeating your enemies.Once you fnish the world, you will be rewarded with a Muscic Key. Earn them all to finish the game.By clearing levels and worlds you will also unlock mini-games, songs and difficulty levels.

Dance Dance Revolution: Mario Mix will probably come with the traditional Action Pad, a mat like those seen in arcades to accompain the thrill of dancing. From what we've seen, not only can you dance with it, but you can also fight. Several screenshots reveal Mario whacking Goombas, defeating Koopas, crossing rivers and going on a roller coaster; just think of all the things you could do by yourself and not by pressing some buttons with your thumbs...

Dance Dance Revolution: Mario Mix will feature the Mushroom Kingdom crew. The characters include, but are not limited to, Mario, Toad, Wario, Waluigi (who seems to be the main enemy), Luigi, Bowser, Koopas, Goombas, Boos and much, much more.

The game will feature more than 25 songs, varying from all types of music, including Mario theme songs and other popular songs. There will also be five difficulty levels, so everyone can play and put their skills to the test. The "workout" mode tracks the number of calories you burn while dancing; play a videogame and excercise at the same time!

The game's release date has not been specified yet, all we have is Octoer 2005. Once we draw nearer, tune in for more information.
