Nintendo has confirmed that the Nintendogs: Holiday Edition we were hearing about earlier is indeed in the making, or the finishing, it appears, and is set to release on October 24th. The game will be available as a single title, as well as packaged with two new version of the Nintendo DS -- Pearl Pink and Teal. The bundle is priced at the DS's original price of $149.99... Still not interested? The bundle will also include a bone-shaped screen cleaning device, as well as a Nintendog's themed DS skin. Fun.

So what's different about Nintendogs: Best Friends Edition? Well, the game will feature six different breeds to choose from the start, including some of the most popular from the previously released versions of the game. The games starting breeds are golden retriever, labrador retriever, beagle, Yorkshire terrier, miniature dachshund, and German shepard.
