The official Nintendo of Europe website has just recently updated their preview of Animal Crossing DS with some more info that might leave you saying, "So what's the release date?"

The preview first confirms that old characters such as Tom Nook and other various townsfolk from the Gamecube version will appear in this game as well, along with many new faces.

The real new information, however, was that Tom Nooks store will house a beauty salon in which your character can change their hairstyle to his/her liking. Also mentioned was that the game's graphics engine was completely redone for the better on the DS. Now, not only will you be able to get a makeover for your character, but the actual game will, too!

The game's internal clock is also redone. It's set to match the DS system's time. More wi-fi info was given about this, in that the clock will continue to work when you're in a friend's town. For instance, if you travel to somebody's town at 6:00 PM, it'll be 6:00 PM in your friend's town, as well.

Sadly, a release date was still not yet given since Wi-fi programs are still being worked on, presumably (as some sites are guessing). However, it's probably safe to say that the game will hit store shelves sometime before the year is over, most likely in Fall, this holiday season (around November).
