At E3 2005, a short clip of Sonic next-gen was shown behind closed doors to special press members, but eventually leaked out to the public. The clip showed our favorite blue hedgehog speeding through a forest, and running into a large army of robots. After being sprayed by millions of bullets, Sonic transforms into Super Sonic and shows each and every enemy who's boss.

Well, it seems that this game is real, and will be shown in the coming weeks. Gaming website, Kikizo, claims that Sega will announce this title by September 9, the end of this week. The site then goes on to say that Sega will give a full presentation of Sonic next-gen in all its glory at the Tokyo Games Show 2005 on Sept. 16-18.

The game will be out in about a year, on the X-Box 360 first, hitting other consoles later on. We can be sure that this title will appear on the Revolution due to Sega's strong Sonic support on the GCN.

We'll keep you updated with any new info. Be sure to look for any screenshots of the game as we get them.
