Peter Moore, the Vice President of Microsoft's X-box division, has recently commented on the Nintendo Revolution controller. While speaking with Gameindustry.biz, he stated that he "wants to give kudos for Nintendo for its attempt at innovation with the new controller."

Moore apparently feels in the future of video games, it's important to expand to further heights. He believes that Microsoft and Nintendo are doing just that, extending the reach of games to the mass market. He cited that it's probable that the Revolution controller will bridge the gap between gamers and the mass population.

"We said at E3, we want a billion consumers touched in this next generation by our industry," said Moore. "That was an industry message. Certainly, we can see Nintendo rallying to that cry and reiterating what Robbie said on May 16th; I heard the same words come from Iwata-san of Nintendo yesterday."

This could mean something good for both Microsoft and Nintendo. Normally, a company's vice president wouldn't be praising a competitor, so this is a rare occassion. Keep your eyes on Ninformer for any news on the situation as it breaks. We'll keep you updated with the latest info on the next-gen Nintendo console.
