After numerous complaints over the system's "high price-tag", it's already hit the 150,000 mark in Japan in only it's first 7 days on the market! About 60% of these sales were, in fact, the NES themed Micro, which sold out everywhere after only a day or so after its release. Other popular colors, in order, were silver, black, purple and then blue. The best part of all this, however, was the absence of any fluctuation in the sales of the GBA SP and the DS.

Numerous games spiked in sales as well, including a re-release of the Classic NES Super Mario Bros. game, in honor of Mario's 20th Birthday on Sept. 13th (also the day the handheld was released), which sold over 150,000 copies as well.

Other popular games that sold very well included Capcom's Gyakuten Saiban (Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney), Bandai's Tamagotchi: Corner Shop and Super Robot Taisen J. Numerous other GBA titles hit peak sales this week as well, with the Micro release.

PSP sales are nothing compared to the DS OR even the Micro, even with it's recent release of the iPod style unit.

It's going to be a good year for Nintendo sales, we can already tell you that.
